About Us

African 1000 Days Actions (ADA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving maternal and child health through community-based health and development interventions. We work to improve health outcomes for underserved mothers and children by expanding access to quality healthcare and delivering targeted, culturally responsive support.

Across Africa, we strengthen maternal and child health systems by supporting women and families during the critical first 1,000 days of life—from pregnancy through early childhood—when nutrition, healthcare, and education have the greatest impact on lifelong health and development.

In the United States, we focus on advancing health literacy and access to care among underserved and minority communities, with an emphasis on maternal, prenatal, and early childhood health. We partner with community organizations to promote preventive care, empower families with reliable health information, and reduce inequities in maternal and child health outcomes.

Through community-driven initiatives and strategic partnerships, we address interconnected challenges in health, education, food security, gender equity, climate resilience, and sustainable development, helping families and communities build healthier, more equitable futures.
